Coordination Meeting Held for National Cleaning Day

Preparations are in full swing for the upcoming National Cleaning Day, scheduled to take place in four days. The Deputy Head of Public Service, Jane Mwesiga, led a coordination meeting this morning to ensure all stakeholders are aligned.

Key Ministries and Organizations Involved.

Representatives from various government bodies attended the crucial meeting. These included officials from the Ministry of Information, Communications, and Technology; the Uganda Media Centre; the Ministry of Health; the Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA); and the Ministry of Local Government.

GASP-Uganda Joins National Effort

The meeting also welcomed GASP-Uganda, an organization that unites major manufacturers such as Uganda Breweries, Pepsi Cola, Coca-Cola, Mukwano, and Hariss International. GASP-Uganda's involvement is aimed at promoting effective waste management, particularly concerning packaging waste.
