29-year-old model and philanthropist Mitchelle Daka made history on August 1, 2026, becoming the first-ever Miss Universe Uganda at a spectacular grand finale held at the Imperial Royale Hotel in Kampala.

Daka, who represented Budaka District in eastern Uganda, delivered a flawless performance across the evening wear, swimwear, and final Q&A rounds to clinch the top title. Her composure and articulation during the judges' intelligence rounds sealed her historic victory .
